On 05 November 2008 the international KNX community descended upon London for the worldwide KNX National Groups Workshop. This event was attended by representatives from more than 14-countries demonstrating the strength of KNX technology around the world. The workshop was chaired by Mr. Heinz Lux of the KNX Association of Brussels.

From now until 31 January 2009, the Building Centre in Store Street, Central London is the venue for a ten week exhibition, Intelligent Homes & Workplaces -A Design Technology & Product Showcase.
KNX UK is one of a number of organisations participating in the event at The Building Centre which attracts some 2000 visitors every week including architects, consultants, M&E engineers, planners, self-builders and home improvers. As such the exhibition represents a major opportunity to get the KNX messages across to very important and influential specifiers.

Somfy Limited is the latest major manufacturer to become a member of KNX UK, the Association representing manufacturers, systems integrators, distributors, users and training establishments for KNX technology in the United Kingdom.
Somfy is a world leading manufacturer of motors and control systems for automated solar protection and security applications within commercial buildings and domestic premises.
